Where to put the code
On the screens or the stage
Put the code on a slide during a break. Phones scan it from across the room.
On badges, tables or the bar
People carry or pass these all event, so photos from every corner arrive, not just the main moment.
In the follow-up message
Send the guest link the next day. Uploads keep working, and people send more from home wifi.
What helps
- Say what the photos are for, like the recap post, the slideshow or the newsletter. People send more when they know.
- Ask guests to add their name when they send. Every photo is then credited, which helps when you want permission to publish one.
- A conference or company party can pass 100 photos within an hour. Get the Event pass before the doors open so nobody is turned away.
Questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes, for up to 100 photos and videos per event, kept for 30 days afterwards. Passes are paid once: $19 for 500 photos and videos, or $39 for 5,000 kept for a year.
- Do photos show up in real time?
- Yes. Your album page refreshes on its own, so photos appear within seconds of a guest sending them.
- Do guests need an app or an account?
- No. The code opens a web page in the phone’s own browser, with one button to choose photos and videos.
- Who can see the photos?
- Only people with your private album link. Guests can send but can’t browse what others sent.
- Can a company pay by invoice?
- The Event pass is paid by card through Stripe, which emails a receipt. For anything else, email hello@uploadqr.com.
